Description of our Specialty Services:

Clinical Psychology is a specialty that is concerned with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of emotional, cognitive and behavioral difficulties. Clinical Psychologists are doctorate level practitioners who have successfully completed several years of formal training and state licensing requirements. Through their specialized training, clinical psychologists can help people understand the causes of their problems and identify positive coping strategies aimed at effectively resolving the problems or conflicts. Their comprehensive therapy approach helps people work through a variety of problems, from basic life stress to more complex and difficult issues.

Clinical Hypnosis is a treatment tool that has been approved by the American Medical Association since 1958. Clinical hypnosis is a wonderful state of deep relaxation in which the individual becomes highly responsive to positive suggestions. Hypnosis is a rapid and effective way of programming new habits and beliefs into the subconscious mind, empowering the individual to bring about desired changes in thoughts, feelings and behavior. Clinical hypnosis can be effective for accomplishing a variety of goals such as relief from stress and anger, weight loss, smoking cessation, improving self-esteem, and pain management, and it can aid in the alleviation of depression and anxiety.

Reiki is a vibrational or subtle energy technique most commonly facilitated by light touch. It is believed to balance and align the human energy field, strengthening the body’s natural ability to heal itself. It appears to reduce stress and stimulate self-healing by “resetting” the resting state of the autonomic nervous system. An increasing number of mental health and medical providers have begun integrating Reiki into their client care, and a growing number of hospitals offer this therapy to patients and staff members. The benefits of Reiki can be physical or emotional, and include reduction in stress and anxiety, releasing past hurts and traumas, pain relief, as well as aiding in recovery from addictions.

Bach Flower Therapy consists of 38 homeopathically prepared liquid extracts discovered by the British physician Edward Bach in the 1930’s. Each of the floral extracts which are prepared from non-poisonous plants, bushes, and trees, addresses a specific emotional balance restoring a sense of well-being. The essences can be used to help bring relief from painful emotions such as fear, despair, loneliness, and anger. Bach flower therapy is safe and gentle for adults and children.
